Chai JEAM-AMORNRAT, Designer of Chai is a funding member of Headquarter, the collective that rocks Bankok's fashion scene. He and his fellow partners in Headquarter are a source of inspiration for a new generation of designers.

His professional experience with major Thai fashion brands allowed him to start his own label, Chai, as well as being a co-founder of the the colective Headquarter along with Patarasarun (for Realistic Situation @ Headquarter) and Jirat (for Sunshine @ Headquarter).

He collaborated twice with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation as a designer, providing the 2000 and 2002 collections shown at Elle Fashion Week. Also designing for RIKO in 2001 and Senada in 2003, he presented his collections in Fukoka, Japan and Bangkok...

Curently, he designs for his own brand, Chai, is part of Headquarter; and is occasional lecturer for Universities.

He was awarded an impressive amount of international recognitions amongst which :

1995 The winner, The Best Young Designer by Preaw Magazine
The winner, The Design 21 Project, UNESCO Paris

1996 Participated in Fashion show of the Design 21 Project at the Louvre Museum in Paris, FRANCE

1999 1st Runner up, The SMIRNOFF Fashion Design Award, Oslo, Norway

2002 1st Runner up, Asian Young Fashion Designers Contest, Singapore

2004 Excellence Prize Award, Designer of the Year 2004, Silpakorn University, Bangkok

The brand Chai was presented at the Pret a Porter fashion fair in Paris in september 2006.

Headquarter will be presented at the Paris Ethical Fashion Show in October, and will have a part in the catwalk show on the week-end of the 13th to the 16th of october 2006 at the Espace Tapis Rouge in the context of the Thai cultural festival Tout a Fait Thai.
