Paris Fashion Institute

The Paris Fashion Institute was established in l976, utilising the special opportunities to fully explore the creative process that only Paris offers. It is the only school offering both fashion design and marketing/merchandising disciplines as a joint entity.

The Paris Fashion Institute acts as a hands-on guide for a professional, insider approach to the fashion industry. A virtual living textbook of fashion creation, history and marketing, it utilises the enormous range of assets available in Paris, the fashion capital of the world.

Fashion Design students

Learn from observing people, their habits and their personal expression of fashion in Parisian daily life, as a source of inspiration. The Paris Fashion Institute guides you into the famous fashion haunts, trend-setting boutiques and department stores to understand where the inspiration of fashion comes from. In a saturated marketplace only creativity, quality and originality make the difference.

Marketing/Merchandising students

Learn the inside mechanics of fashion, an overall view of the design industry and how a design studio operates. Learn how a collection is created, from color to silhouette, how to forecast and report on trends, and a comprehensive background in fashion terminology and the true value of a garment. What they say

There is no better place or environment to immerse yourself in such a program than Paris. Jennifer La Fleur, USA How to put into words PFI? For me like many others I was in the search of finding my place in the fashion industry. PFI gave me that opportunity to learn and to hear about everything from fabric to Journalism. Currently I am working in Paris at a very well know Fashion Magazine as an intern. My internship is not even starting and I already have other doors opening so if you are hard working and want to follow your dreams... than I would suggest PFI to anyone. Katharine Milburn, USA
