Silpakorn University
Silpakorn University is one of Thailand's top five universities which are the mainstay of higher education in Thailand. It was originally established as the School of Fine Arts by Corrado Ferroci, an Italian artist who was commissioned to work as a sculptor in the Fine Arts Department in 1923. The School developed gradually and formally achieved university status and the name Silpakorn University on 12 October, 1943.
The University's second campus, Sanam Chandra Palace, is located in Nakhon Pathom province, which is the former residential complex of King Rama VI.
