Education

Teera Chantaswasdee
Teera Cantaswasdee obtained a diploma in Patern Making at the London College of Fashion in 1999;

He received the prizes for Best Tailoring Project, Best Draping Project, Best Jewelry Project and Best Printing Project at Central Saint Martin University of Art & Design in London during the years 1998-2000;

He then was recognised with a Honour Diploma in Fashion Design from Bangkok International Fashion Academy (BIFA), Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand (2005-2006).

On top of his very high educational profile, Teera Cantaswasdee was awarded many distinctions and prizes and has attended many international fashion competitions for the last 12 years:

1994 -The collection for Polo Club, Young Designers Showcase, Bangkok

1995 -Gold prize at the Smirnoff International Fashion Award, Thailand

1996 -Gold Prize at the Asian Fashion Grand Prix Contest in Kobe, Japan
-Silver Prize at the Smirnoff International Fashion Award, Thailand

1997 -Gold Prize at the Asian Fashion Designer Contest "New Asian Tropic Style" in Singapore

1998 -British Scolarship Award

1999 -British Scolarship Award

2000 -Gold prize at the UNESCO Design 21, "Chic Chinois", Paris, France
-Exhibited in Beijing, China at the International Museum

2001 -Design Award, again at Design 21 and selected by Felisimo Group Japan for permanent exhibition at the Fashion Museum, Kobe, Japan

2003 -Collection for Mercedes Benz Fashion Award, Singapore

Other professional experiences

Teera Chantaswasdee
Teera Cantaswasdee also collaborated with Kai as Assistant Designer and the Mae Fah Luang Foundation as fashion designer from 2000 untill 2002 and presented its colections at events like the Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Elle Fashion Week Bangkok.

He was also a representative of Thai Fashion Designers at the Malaysian Fashion Week in Kuala Lumpur, at the South-East Asia Fashion Show and at the forum of Asia in Boa, China.

Thanks to the support of the DEP, Teera Chantaswasdee was also part of the Thai delegation present at Pret à Porter fashion fair in Paris in 2006. See his interview with Soiwat on the Thai booth at Pret a Porter in October 2006 (soon to be published).

Aside of his designer's activities, he is also guest lecturer at the Chulalongkorn University, had a Do It Yourself column in the Bangkok Elle Magazine,...

Teera Chantaswasdee
This designer focuses on the finest fabics and on designing his own prints. He mainly gets the finest silks by the notorious Jim Thompson, then he prints them with his designs. This particuliar way of production allows only very short series making every piece an almost unique work of art.
